The Commission helps secure stable funding for legal service providers so that they have the resources and staff necessary to serve the legal needs of low-income Texans. In addition to our work advocating for state and federal funding, the Commission raises funds with the help of the legal community and the general public.
Growing Funds
Champion of Justice Society
So far this year, there are more than 340 Champion of Justice Society members. In 2018, Society members contributed more than $150,000 in support of access to justice, with Guardian members ensuring deferred revenue for future years to support legal aid. Together, these Champions of Justice fund the equivalent of more than three full-time legal aid staff attorneys. Our Champion of Justice Society has four giving levels, and membership is on a calendar-year basis. More »

Justice for All Campaign
Once a year, as part of dues renewal with the State Bar of Texas, we ask Texas attorneys to donate $150 to the Justice for All Campaign. In 2021, the Justice for All Campaign raised over $1.5 million – the highest amount ever raised. More than 10,500 lawyers made a charitable contribution. More »
